Kaylee Keating of Indian Trail won the women’s division in 1:32:04.
In the 5K, Brad Troxell of Fort Collins, Colo., won the 5-kilometer race in 17:30.
Greg Kielar of Stanley finished second in 18:29, followed closely by Joe Rao of Charlotte, 18:36. Annette O’Flynn of Cornelius won the women’s division in 20:36, followed by Amber Bowels of Denver, 20:43, and Jenny Estill of Davidson, 21:15.
Proceeds from sponsorships and entry fees will provide funding for the Davidson Lands Conservancy’s work preserving green space in and around Davidson. The organization is currently managing the Town of Davidson’s tree inventory. Another major priority, according to DLC President Sterling Martin, is purchasing 30 acres of land in the new Summer’s Walk subdivision to provide a protective buffer for the 23 acre wetland area of the development.
