Let Us Introduce You

Knowing your neighbors and extending them a helping hand lies at the heart of small town life. Right now, development activities in our rapidly growing corner of Mecklenburg county present an imminent threat to some of our most vulnerable neighbors - the ones who call the woods, meadows, streams and farmlands home. And if they succumb, the high quality of life we've come to enjoy here will suffer. We urge you to join the Davidson Lands Conservancy's efforts to protect ecologically and aesthetically significant land in and around Davidson. Together, we can preserve open space for our children to enjoy and ensure all our neighbors have a place to live. There's not a moment to lose!

Who Joins?

Our founding members include longtime Davidson residents and newcomers. We welcome as members, residents of rural areas surrounding the town, members of the college community, and former residents who look back with fondness on their Davidson years. Our membership is diverse in perspective and background, but we all share a common commitment to the land.

We accept checks, credit cards and donations of securities. The Davidson Lands Conservancy is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation - your contribution is tax deductible.
