Order Your Tree ID Tag Today!

The WOW! (World of Wonder) program, a collaboration between the Davidson Lands Conservancy and Woodlands Discovery, is taking orders for tree identification tags to be placed on trees at Fisher Farm Park, the Lake Davidson Nature Preserve, and on trees throughout Davidson and surrounding areas.

There are two easy ways for you to purchase a tree ID tag.  First, look for the WOW table at the Davidson Farmer’s Market this weekend. We’ll have samples of the signs, information about tree identification and an opportunity for you to make a donation toward our project and to buy your own signs.

Second, you may click here to download a form which contains a listing of available tags.  Simply indicate how many tags of each species you want, and mail the form and a check to the address shown on the form.  Everyone who purchases a tree tag will be entered into a drawing for the book “Behold the Trees.”

The order deadline is June 1, so be sure to order your tags today!

Thank you for your support of WOW! and for helping to provide education about one of our most precious natural resources.

How many different oaks can you identify? Can you identify a Sweetgum, an American Beech, an Elm, a Tulip Poplar or an Eastern Red Cedar? Help us with our project to learn to recognize these trees and know about their value.
