This year’s race is dedicated to the memory of Roy Alexander, the Davidson Lands Conservancy’s first Executive Director who passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in January. Roy was instrumental in starting the Run for Green in 2006, and his contributions to the DLC and Run for Green will be sorely missed. Come out and join us in celebrating Roy’s life at the “Run for Green – Race for Roy” this September.
Last year nearly 900 finishers completed one of the races, making it our best-attended year ever! Moreover, we received excellent feedback through our post-race survey.
MSC Industrial Direct of Davidson returns as the presenting sponsor, together with Omega Sports and many others. If you have a business and would be interested in helping sponsor Run for Green, please e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Run for Green is the primary fundraiser for the Davidson Lands Conservancy, a non-profit based in Davidson, NC that helps to permanently protect land as well as provide nature-themed education for people of all ages. Your participation in Run for Green helps us to fulfill our mission.
