Milkweed Flagging at Abersham Park

Join DLC and monarch butterfly expert, Cathy Denham, for a family-friendly flag-making event. We'll learn all about the life cycle of the monarch butterfly, whose larvae depend on the milkweed plant for survival. The flags we create will help educate visitors and protect vital habitat from being mowed. Registration is required; please sign up HERE.

Join Davidson Lands Conservancy (DLC) volunteers to help mark wild milkweed in Abersham Park to protect the endangered Monarch butterfly! This is a fun event for children and families. Participants will first gather in the Park pavilion to make flags to mark milkweed, and then walk to a patch of milkweed and install the flags.
