WILSON / BIG GREEN CONSERVATION EASEMENT  

This privately owned 10.2 acres is slated for commercial development and is located in the fast-growing Route 73 Highway corridor just east of Davidson.  The land includes both wooded and open areas and a north facing wooded slope along its north flank.  This area gives way to small stream near its northerly boundary. The conservation values of this property are modest. 

DLC holds a conservation easement on this land which allow for commercial use and development in a 2 acre envelope.  

The property was generously donated to DLC in 2014 by William W. “Bill” Wilson of Statesville.  DLC placed a conservation easement on the land and subsequently sold the property.
