WOW Thanks: Dr. Kristen Thompson

For the WOW Outing, “Great American Solar Eclipse,” August 12

WOW cannot thank Dr. Thompson enough for taking time out of her very busy eclipse schedule and making sure some of our WOW families learn about this amazing event taking place this Monday, August 21. Here in Davidson, we’ll have a 97% partial eclipse at 2:42pm. Dr. Thompson will be in Winnsboro, SC, where all are welcome. Here is a schedule:

  • Eclipse exhibit at the Fairfield County Museum through Nov. 1
  • Public lecture presented by Dr. Thompson entitled, “The Sun and the Coming Eclipse,” Aug. 20, 7pm, Christ Central Community Center
  • Public Eclipse Party, Aug. 21, 1pm to 4pm. (Totality will occur at 2:41pm.) Garden Street Park Ball Field.

All events are free and open to the public.
