“Scaly, Slimy, but Never Scary – Come Pet Something That’s Not Hairy!” A lucky group of children and parents recently attended a brief introduction to the world of herpetology led by the Davidson College Herpetology Lab. They learned about reptiles and amphibians and met some species that are native to North Carolina. Most interesting fact: North Carolina has the largest number of salamander species in North America! Many thanks are owed to Nitya Rao who allowed this group a peek at these amazing animals.
